SECTION 3
Lesson 3.3 Enhancing a Worksheet’s Appearance

Borders can help to separate and distinguish selected data within a worksheet, or give a worksheet a more polished overall appearance.

To add a border to your worksheet, select a range of data and display the borders option list from the Borders button on the formatting tool bar.

Click on the type of border you wish to apply to the range, and the borders will be added.

You can gain more control over the borders by clicking the Draw Borders option on the border drop down list.

This will display a small Borders toolbar that you can use to select line type and thickness. Once you make your selection your mouse pointer will turn into a pencil, and you can draw your own borders along the gridlines of your choice.
