To customize a toolbar in Excel, click on the drop list at the end of a toolbar, select Add or Remove buttons, and Customize from the drop down menus.
You can also choose View -> Toolbars ->Customize from the menu bar. Either of these actions will display the Customize dialogue box.
With this dialogue box, you can choose what toolbars to display by checking options under the Toolbars tab. If you click the New button, you will be asked for the name of your new custom toolbar.
You can now name your custom tool bar, and press OK. A blank toolbar will appear on the screen for you to customize. If you click the Commands tab on the Customize dialogue box, you will be shown a list of categories, and corresponding commands for each category.
You can drag and drop these command buttons from the command list on to your new toolbar to customize it. Your new toolbar will be placed on the Toolbars list in the Customize dialogue box to be shown or hidden as you prefer.
Under the Options tab in the Customize dialogue box, you will be given options to control the animation of toolbars, the size of the toolbar icons, to show screen tips, and to show full menus.
