SECTION 2
Lesson 2.3: Public Folders

Posting to a public folder just means creating an item in the folder. Outlook is really smart though; when you click a folder and post to it, Outlook will automatically use the proper form.

You can post to a public folder in one of a few ways. First, select the public folder you want to post in. Then perform one of these commands:

-       Click the New button on the standard toolbar.

-       Double-click a blank space in the entry pane (where all the data is displayed).

-       Press Ctrl and N.

Outlook will then open the proper entry type (either the default form or a custom form if one has been set). All you have to do is type in your information and hit save and close. It will then appear in the public folder!
