SECTION 2
Lesson 2.4: Customizing E-Mail Messages

Now that we’ve learned how to create a basic e-mail message, it’s time to learn how to customize your messages. Because Outlook shares features with other versions of Office (it actually uses Microsoft Word to compose and edit e-mail messages), you’ll see many familiar features in Outlook. These include:

-       Clip Art

-       Spelling and grammar check

-       Lots of different fonts

-       Formatting options like bold, italics, and underline

-       Colour themes

-       AutoText

-       Bullets and numbering

Outlook also has some mail customization features all its own, like:

-       Signatures

-       Stationery

-       Different mail formats

These features specific to Outlook are what we’re going to focus on in this lesson. At the end, we’ll talk a little bit about the most common shared features in case you’re not familiar with those.
