Lesson 3.3: Using Tasks

   

 

 

1.

Make sure Microsoft Outlook 2002 is open. Click on the Tasks folder in the Shortcut Bar.

Right-click on a blank spot in the main tasks view and click New Task.

Fill out the task window with this information:

Subject: Walk the cat

Due date: Choose tomorrow’s date from the drop-down calendar

Start date: Choose today’s date from the drop-down calendar

Don’t modify the status, priority, or percent complete options.

In the large white window, type, “Remember to take Fluffy for a walk tomorrow. Don’t forget to take her treats and a pooper scooper!”

Check the reminder box. Choose tomorrow’s date from the drop down calendar. Choose 9 am for the time.

 

 

4.

Click the Recurrence button on the toolbar.

 

 

5.

Click the Weekly option. Click the option to Recur every 1 week. Check Monday for the day of the week.

 

 

6.

In Range of Recurrence options, leave the start date as today. Click the End After: 10 occurrences option. Change the number 10 to the number 5.

 

 

7.

Click OK, and then click Save and Close.
