Lesson 1.4: Finding Items in Outlook

   

 

1.

Make sure Microsoft Outlook 2002 is open. Drag and drop the two sample messages (Welcome to Microsoft Outlook 2002 with Business Contact Manager and Welcome to Microsoft Outlook 2002) from the sample files folder into your inbox. (If those files are still there from previous exercises, skip this step.)

Click the File menu, choose New, and click Note.

 

 

3.

Type I am learning how to search in Outlook! Close the note.

Click the Find button () on the standard toolbar.

In the Look For box, type Outlook. Click Search In and choose All Mail Folders. Click Search Now.

Right-click on the first result (shown in the main message window) and click Delete.

Click the Tools menu and click Advanced Find.

 

 

8.

In the Look For box, choose Notes.

In the Notes tab, type Outlook in the Search for the Word(s) field.

Click on the Advanced tab. Click Field, choose All Notes Field, and click Created.

Under Condition, click Today.

Click Add to List and click Find Now.

 

 

9.

In the results, right-click your note. Choose Colour and click Pink.

 

 

10.

Click on the File menu and click Close.
