The
page styles in Outlook are designed to help you print your document the
best way possible. There are some pre-set options, but you can also set
up your own page styles. This can be useful if you use a particular page
setup often. You
can choose from the pre-defined page styles in two ways: -
Open the Print dialog box. The page styles section is circled in blue in the
figure below:
To
select a print style, just click on the style that you want to select
it. -
You can also select a style by clicking on the File menu, choosing Page Setup,
and choosing from the list available. The list looks like this:
Here’s an overview of the different print styles available: -
Mail:
o
Table Style: Available only for the main folder view. Prints a view of your
folder as a table (ie, with columns listing subject, date, sender).
o
Memo Style: Prints the mail message as a regular page. (A mail message must be
selected for this option to work.) -
Calendar:
o
Daily Style: Prints one day per page.
o
Weekly Style: Prints one week per page.
o
Monthly Style: Prints one month per page.
o
Tri-Fold Style: Prints three sections of your calendar per page.
o
Calendar Details Style: Prints detailed appointments for that day.
o
Memo Style: Prints one day with a section for notes and a section for tasks. -
Contacts:
o
Card Style: Prints a list sorted alphabetically. Contacts appear as address
cards, with name, e-mail address, phone number, and mailing address
fields.
o
Small Booklet Style: Prints contacts so they can be folded as a small booklet.
Contacts appear as they do in card style.
o
Medium Booklet Style: Prints contacts so they can be folded as a medium sized
booklet. Contacts appear as they do in card style.
o
Memo Style: Contacts print as an alphabetical list. All completed contact
fields will be included.
o
Phone Directory Style: Prints an alphabetical list of contacts and their phone
numbers. -
Tasks:
o
Table Style: Prints all tasks in a table view
o
Memo Style: Prints the selected task with a list of fields. -
Notes:
o
Memo Style: Prints the selected note. The modified date will appear at the
top, followed by the text of the note. -
Journal:
o
Memo Style: Prints the selected journal entry as a list of fields. You
can also change your view in Outlook, choose print, and Outlook will
print your document in the view you’ve chosen. We haven’t talked about
views yet, but it is something to keep in mind.
