Selections are a very important part of Photoshop. You can crop image with selections, you can modify specified parts of an image with the help of selections, and you can even remove objects from images with selections. Any well defined region of an image can be made into a selection, enabling you to change or add effects to just the region, or everything else but the region.

In this lesson, you will learn how to use the Photoshop selection tools, including the marquee tools, lasso tools, and the magic wand. In addition, you will learn how to select an entire image and you will practice using selection tools in the exercise at the end of the lesson.
