Although Photoshop CS is designed primarily for bitmap image processing, it contains a very comprehensive and functional set of type tools. You can use these tools to add titles or headings to your images, or to create your own text based graphics from scratch.

 

 

In this lesson you will learn how to work with horizontal type and vertical type. You will learn how to modify your typed characters, and you will learn how to work with the character palette.

 

In the practice exercise, you will add text to an image and then modify the text to create some interesting effects.
