If working with colour seems to be a recurring theme, it is only because colour plays such an important part in image editing. Even the most detailed digital photos are made up of millions of tiny colour elements mapped together to form an image.

 

For example, if you are creating logos or graphics for a website, it is crucial that you are able to create the colour and effects that you need. This is just as true if you are preparing material for print.
