Lesson 1.5: Creating Advanced Presentations

   

 

Practice Exercise

 

Begin by opening your main presentation. The first exercise we will perform is creating a Basic Custom Show. As an example, we have created a presentation to propose a new product, but we have two very different groups of viewers, who only need to see the slides that pertain to them.

 

1.

Open the presentation.

Go to Slide Show, Select Custom Shows.

 

 

3.

Select New.

 

 

4.

Type: Investor Slides in the Slide Show name box.

 

 

5.

Select the first slide for the Investor group.

 

 

6.

Click Add.

 

 

7.

Select second slide for the Investor group.

 

 

8.

Click Add, and OK.

 

 

9.

Select New again, for the Second Group.

 

 

10.

Type: Marketing Group.

 

 

11.

Select the slides that pertain to the Marketing Group.

Once finished, Select OK.

 

 

13.

When ready to present Go to Slide Show, Select Custom Shows.

Select the Custom Show from List.

Select Show.

Go to Slide Show, Select Custom Shows.

Select New.

 

 

18.

Select the Slides you want to show in the MAIN custom show.

Click Add, and OK.

Select Close.

Select text or image from a slide.

Go to Insert, Select Insert Hyperlink.

Select Place in This document.

 

 

24.

Select the Linked Custom Show you want to go to during the presentation.

 

Note: If you need to return back to the main presentation Check the Show and Return box.

Select OK.

Go to the Custom Show Dialog Box.

Select the show you want to Edit.

 

 

28.

Select Edit, and OK when finished.

 

 

29.

Select show you want to Copy.

 

 

30.

Select Copy.

Select the Show you want to Delete.

 

 

32.

Select Remove.

 

 

33.

Go to Slide Show.

 

 

34.

Select Set up Show.

 

 

 

35.

Go through each category, to set up the show options.

 

Note: to set the timing advancement for a custom show check the custom show option and select the show that requires programming.

Go to Normal View, Select Slide Show from current slide.
