Go to the
source document
you want to link to the main presentation. |

part
of the document you want to link. |

main presentation. |

Select
Edit,
and
Paste Special. |

Paste Link.

To Link an
Entire
file, go to
Insert. |

file, Select

Link
box.

If you would like the link to be displayed as an icon, check the
display as icon

We will now
open the Links dialog box.
Go to
Edit, Select
Links. |

When the
dialog box opens you will notice all the links listed for this
presentation.

Select the
link you want to set to
update automatically.
Note:
if this was the only task being done, click Close. |

Select
Automatic
or
Manual.
Note:
if you chose Manual, you must update the source manually by
selecting
update now
when you have edited the source file. |

To open and
edit the source file you can do one of the following:
- Select
Open Source
in Link dialog box
-
Double click
directly on the
link from the slide
- Right
click the link, select
Link Document Object,
then
Edit
|

From there
you can make the necessary changes. |

From the
Link dialog box, select
Change source.
Note:
these steps are necessary if the source file has moved. |

new file location,
Select
