Lesson 1.4: Using System Restore

   

 

 

Restoring your computer to an earlier time is simple due to the calendar layout in system restore. The days of the calendar which you can restore back to are highlighted in dark blue (bolded) on the calendar. Selecting one of these dates this window also shows you the relative information to that restore point.

 

 

To perform a system restore, first, select one of the restore points then click Next to continue.

 

 

The above window of System Restore (see above) gives you a summary of your choices and also displays important information warnings. To restore your computer to the date you selected, click Next. Your computer will restart, and then you will see the following window.

 

 

 

This window provides you with a summary of how the restore process went: if your restore completed or failed.
