Lesson 2.1: Overview of Networking

   

 

 

Networking allows computers to communicate with each other, thus sharing resources such as files, folders, and even printers. It can also allow computers to share an Internet connection. While there are many different types of computer networks, for this lesson we will be focusing on a home or office network topology. (The type of network you have set up is referred to as a topology. This consists of your entire network including computers, cables, routers, hubs, and other networking devices.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Let’s look at some of the hardware requirements for networking.
