Lesson 3.1: Remote Desktop

   

 

 

To allow you or others to connect to your home computer with Remote Desktop, certain features must be enabled and configured. To enable Remote Desktop (host) on your computer follow the below steps:

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Select the Performance and Maintenance icon, followed by the System icon.
  3. In the System Properties window select the Remote tab.
  4. Check the box under the Remote Desktop section for Allow users to connect remotely to this computer. You may also select additional remote users (other user accounts on your computer) who can connect. By default your Windows user account has Remote Desktop access.
