To configure a remote desktop connection, select the Options button in the Remote Desktop Connection window. The Options section displays five tabs: General, Display, Local Resources, Programs, and Experience. Let’s go over these tabs in more detail.

The General tab provides two areas for general options. These are logon settings and connection settings. Let’s discuss these areas a bit further.

Connection Settings

Allows you to save your current remote desktop configuration or open a pre-saved remote desktop connection.

Our next tab is Display. This tab provides two areas for customizing your display settings. It also includes a checkbox option for, “Display the connection bar when in full screen mode.” Let’s cover the two sections in more detail.

The Local Resources tab provides three sections for controlling resources over your remote desktop session.

Next is the Programs tab. This tab allows you to start a program when the remote desktop connection is established.
