The Control Panel allows you to set many of your system preferences. As you can see in the figure above the Windows XP Control Panel has a new look compared to older versions of Windows. The Control Panel icons have been categorised giving it a new easy to use look. However, this also results in one more step to reach your destination. For advanced users the Control Panel can be changed back to the classic view which puts all your Control Panel icons in one place. (This will be discussed later in the lesson.) First, let’s begin with the details on each Control Panel icon.
