Power Schemes tab

Provides two available sections for: Power
Schemes and Settings for Home/Office Desk power scheme. |

The Power Schemes section allows you to
select a list of power schemes from a pull-down menu or save a
modified scheme. You can also delete a scheme with the Delete
button. |

The Settings for Home/Office Desk power
scheme allow you to adjust standby options through pull-down
menus for the monitor, hard disk, or the entire system. |

Advanced tab |
Allows you to customize power-saving
settings through two areas: Options and Power buttons. |

The Options section provides options for
Always Show Icon on the Taskbar and Prompt for Password when
Computer Resumes from Standby. |
|
|
The Power section provides pull-down menu
options for: When I press the power button on my computer and
When I press the sleep button on my computer. |
|
Hibernate tab |
The hibernation feature is mainly used to
save power. This is mostly used for laptops where battery power
is a concern. Hibernation saves everything in memory to your
hard disk, turns off your monitor and hard disks, and then turns
off your computer. When you start your computer your desktop is
restored exactly as you left it. |

UPS tab |
UPS stands for Uninterruptible Power
Supply. This allows your computer to function when power is not
available. The available areas of this window are Status and
Details. |
