You can also insert a line break, which will end the current sentence and start a new one without a space between the lines. This can be useful when your style adds a line when you press Enter, but you don’t want that blank space, and you don’t want to create a new style. It’s also useful to break up formatting between lines, kind of like a miniature section break.

 

To insert a line break, place your cursor where you want the line to end. Press Shift and Enter. You can delete the line break later by putting your cursor at the beginning of the second line and pressing Delete.

 

Once we’ve got text selected, we can do lots of things with it.
