In our last section, we learned how to create charts freehand, without a table to work from. It only makes sense that you can also create charts based on a table that you already have in Word.
First, we’re going to delete the Area column to make things a bit simpler. Then, we’re going to click the Table menu, choose Select, and click Table to select the whole table.
Then, we’ll click the Insert menu and click Object. In the Create New tab, we’re going to choose Microsoft Graph Chart.
Click OK and we will see the chart in our document:

We can now edit the datasheet and the chart using the tools that we learned about in SECTION 2.
