Open Microsoft Office
Word 2003.
In the blank editing
window, type this text:
Christmas Gift Ideas
Mom: New oven mitts
Dad: Set of tools
Spot: New leash and brush
You can use any font
type, size, style, or colour you want. |

Click the
File
menu and click
Save As. |

Click the
Desktop icon in the My Places
bar on the left-hand side. |

Click the
New
Folder button in the top right
hand corner of the Save As dialog. |

Type
Christmas 2005 for the folder
name.
Click
OK. |

You should now be in
your Christmas 2005 folder; you can verify this by looking at
the Save In drop-down menu at the top of the Save As screen. If
you’re not in the folder, double-click to open it. |

Click the
Tools
menu and click
Add to My Places.

Right-click on the
My Recent Documents icon
in the My Places toolbar and click
Small
Icons.

You should now see your
Christmas 2005 folder in the My Places list. |

For the file name, type
Gift Ideas
and click
Save.

Click the
File
menu and click
Open. |

In the Open dialog box,
click
Christmas 2005
in the My Places bar on the left hand side. |

Click the
View
icon and click
Preview.
Click the
Gift Ideas
file once to select it. |
